Lightly exfoliate your skin the day before your tan. Do not exfoliate the day of the tan.
Any waxing or shaving should be done at least 24 hours prior to your tan. Do not shave or wax the day of your tan. If you suffer from "dotting" on your legs after a spray tan, it may be best to shave your legs after the tan when washing it off (do not use shaving cream, just soap and water) but please ask for extra coverage at your appointment to allow some loss of colouring.
Moisturise twice a day for a week leading up to your tan to ensure maximum skin hydration. Do not put any moisturiser on the day of your tan.
It is best to wear nail polish to your appointment, even if it is just a clear polish. Your nails will be wiped clean, but it helps prevent staining to your nails.
Do not apply any moisturiser, deodorant, perfume or skin products to your body. These products will act as a barrier and may prevent the colour from developing properly.
It is best not to come to your appointment straight from the gym or exercising as sweat can also act as a barrier to the tan
Ideally it is best to shower prior to your appointment.
Wear loose dark clothing and bring along a pair of thongs as shoes and socks may rub the tan off your feet. (We will supply a disposable g-string and hair net).
It is best not to wear a bra after your tan to avoid strap marks and rubbing off the tan before it is completely dry and had a chance to develop.
Take care to avoid splashing water on your tan until it is fully developed, water may cause it to wash off appearing blotchy or the tan may run.
Do not apply any moisturisers, deodorant, perfume or skin products to your body until the tan has been washed off.
Allow the allocated time for the tan to develop before washing off your tan:
Liquid Sun: 8 - 12 hour tan. We recommend not leaving it on for longer than 15 hours
Velocity: 1 - 4 hour tan. We recommend not leaving it on for longer than 6 hours
Fusion: 8 - 12 hour tan. We recommend not leaving it on for longer than 15 hours
During your first shower after the tan, allow the water to rinse off the tan until the water runs clear. You can then lightly wash your skin with soap or a hydrating body wash that does not contain Sodium.
After each shower, pat your skin dry with a towel, do not rub.
Moisturise at least twice a day to maintain your glow as long as possible!
